FAQ/Preguntas más frecuentes

Why did only one person of a couple receive the invitation?

Because of the way the online invitation tracks RSVP's, we are only able to send one person in a couple the invitation. Please share with your other (or better) half!

What and where is Ligüerre de Cinca?

Ligüerre is the location of the wedding and where all of our guests will be staying, feasting and enjoying themselves for two days. Ligüerre de Cinca is a village in the province of Huesca that was forcibly abandoned decades ago due to the construction of a new damn down river.  While most towns in these situations were submerged, Ligüerre was not, but her working fields were submerged and so the populous had to move.   With the original residents long gone, the town was set up as a resort venue in its near-original state. â€‹

What is the best way to communicate while in Spain?

Whatsapp is a free cell phone app that is a preferred mode of communication internationally and that is free when on wifi.  Some US cell service vendors, AT&T & Verizon, have international plans that you can set up prior to your travels that allow you to use your phone as you would in the US for $10/day.

Spanish time-table:

Lunch is usually between 1:00-3:00 and most stores/shops are closed from 1:30-5:00. Towns will seem closed midday so think "Spanish time".  Enjoy a nice lunch and a siesta and then your afternoon will be more active from 5:00-8:00 PM. Merienda snack is usually around 6:00PM. Dinner usually begins around 8:30PM or 9:00PM, which is still considered early.

What should I pack/attire for the events?

The daytime temperature in the mountains will be around 70-80 degrees while the evenings will cool down to around 50-55 degrees. Bathing suits, sun hats, shorts, fleeces and shawls are all worth packing.

People seem a little in wonder about what to wear for the events planned... so we hope to shed a bit more light!

The bonfire BBQ on Wednesday will be very  casual...think shorts, jeans, a sundress and something warm to throw on as the evening progresses.

The wedding itself...think "mountain chic"! Jacket and tie for men and festive cocktail attire for women...or anything in between! Some women are wearing long pants and a fun top, others, a fun dress. Men, you are far more simple. Keep in mind that you will be 3 minute walk to your room so you can always pop back and change, if needed. Shawls will definitely come in handy. The resort does not have cobblestones, so heels are fine.

All rooms have hairdryers!
